Keep going

A few weeks ago I sat in on a video shoot a friend was filming at Blok Studio. He was capturing marketing material for a company called Training Mask; they specialize in high-performance breathing devices designed to help with respiratory conditioning. Two bad ass martial artist, fighting each other, over and over again, all while wearing these mask that makes physical training 10x harder. No matter what they kept going until the job was done. The main thing I took away from this experience other than great images is to never give up.

Travel without a cause

A few weeks ago I decided to take a road trip to northern Arizona. No pre-planning or research, just pack and go with my lady and a close friend. It was one of the most beautiful experiences of my life. I’m an Arizona native but haven’t done much exploring of my home state. We started at Woods Canyon Lake near Payson and camped in the area. There’s something about nature, beer and pb&j sandwiches that brings a sense of calmness. From there we traveled to Morman Lake to visit family. Interesting little countryside style town with classic looking mobile homes, old salon store and a history museum.

After a few beers, we were back on the road to Flagstaff where we spent the evening. Meditation and pancakes were on the morning agenda before traveling through Sedona to hike some beautiful trails. All in all, it was a great trip, and my subpar write up doesn’t serve the experience any justice, but hopefully, you’ll appreciate it.

This is me

Well, how do I start this….Welcome to my blog!

I guess this is where the introduction would go since it’s the first post, but I’m new to the blog world so bare with me as I learn the ropes. If you want to learn a bit about my background, the about page is a good place to start. The purpose for starting this blog is to demonstrate how cool I am, LOL. Honestly, this is the place where I’ll be sharing my adventures, behind the scenes stuff, family life, thoughts, interests, hobbies, and whatever else I choose. I’ll do my best to keep things as entertaining as possible. I have a fun adventure to share tomorrow but for now, here’s a great image by Justin Sission.
